An intro...
This is my family (minus 2 1/2 grandchildren). Life is busy (as for most of us), but there are some things that are very important to me: family, church, and country. Over the years I have been very involved with the first two, and as a military wife, I was involved in service to my country in a very direct way.
I now have the opportunity to get more involved with the political process. It is getting more and more important to be as involved and informed as our time allows. We are needed now–more than ever before.
I am a conservative first and foremost. I believe in the principles that the founders of our nation used when they penned the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I love these documents!
The purpose of this blog is to be able to communicate with my friends and neighbors what I have learned, and am learning about political candidates and issues.
It is my hope that this will be a friendly give and take forum, with the emphasis on respectful and courteous interchange of ideas!
I have served one term as a KA16 Precinct's State Delegate, and as a County Delegate due to my position as Leg District Vice Chair. I am also currently serving as a member of the Davis County Republican Party Executive Committee, and as a member of the GOP State Central Committee.
One of my biggest frustrations as a delegate was the inability to communicate more affectively with my precinct. If elected in this 2014 Neighborhood Caucus, this blog will allow you access to what I am learning as I vet candidates and research issues. It will also give you the ability to pose questions you would like answered by the candidates.
I would appreciate your support and vote to be one of your State Delegates. I hope to be able to meet and speak with you on March 20th. I will be at the Farmington Jr. High, but I may be helping other precincts that evening (as my responsibilities as Leg District 18 Vice Chair require). If that is the case, I hope that you will still consider electing me as a State Delegate.
Thank you!
